University of Western Ontario

Founded in 1878, the University of Western Ontario is one of the oldest Universities in Canada. The University is also known as Western or UWO and is is located in London, Ontario. Out of several Canadian Universities, this University is well known for its research facilities.

When this University of Western Ontario was inaugurated it had only four faculties such as Arts, Divinity, Law and Medicine and 15 students. Now the number of undergraduate students in this University is 25000 and postgraduate students is 5000.

University of Western Ontario Admission Procedure

In order to get admission in this University, a Canadian student has to complete an Ontario Secondary School Diploma. They are also required to finish six grade 12U and/or M level courses. This is also including ENG4U. An international student has to fulfill certain admission criteria if they are included fully in the International Baccalaureate program.

The international student in order to get admission in this University has to complete IB diploma program. They sould not get any less mark than four and a grade total of 28 to be eligible for admission in this University.

University of Western Ontario Accommodation facilities

Currently the University of Western Ontario offers 8 residences on campus where 4000 students live. Students with family can live on campus in 400 apartments and townhouses. Any first year student who wants to live in the University owned residence is guaranteed with a room. One can also live at 500 off campus apartments offered by the University. The students of the University can choose their residences from a variety of options.
