Karnataka State Women’s University is Established in August 2003, the Karnataka State Women’s University at Bijapur in Karnataka is dedicated in course of women’s education. The University associates all the Women’s faculties in twelve northern districts of Karnataka. Two campuses of KSWU Bijapur are situated within the metropolis and Torvi.

Karnataka State Women’s University aims to empower girls through tutorial achievement, analysis, creativity, innovation, interaction, collaboration, character development and management qualities. To meet this objective KSWU has established 6 post graduate departments, 47 affiliatedUniversity s and a constituent B.Ed.University.
Apart from Science, Humanities, Schooling & Teaching courses, the university imparts education in skilled courses like Journalism & Mass Communication, Library & Information Science and Business Administration. Programs on Women’s Research assist students achieve self-confidence and provide info, steerage and counseling to women to overcome gender disparities. These programs also help those that are engaged in NGO administration, child and women welfare and training field.
The University also presents a dual degree programme that allows the candidates to acquire PG diploma and certificates in vocational subjects concurrently whereas they pursue any of the regular PG course.
KSWU has developed a singular curriculum whereby the scholars have the opportunity of getting extra training in topics resembling Gender and Legislation, Women and Well being, Communicative English, Media Studies, NGO Management, Human Resources Administration, Enterprise Kannada, and Yoga Studies.
Karnataka State Women’s University has three hostels with requisite infrastructure and sufficient security. The hostels have their own mess, managed by skilled and resident woman wardens. The University has a library that maintains a diversified assortment of books, periodicals, back volumes etc.
